About The Author

Julie Doar-Sinkfield

Julie Doar-Sinkfield is an educator, advocate, and mother of neurodivergent children who is dedicated to empowering individuals with diverse learning needs. With a master’s degree in Sociology, she founded My Life Tutors (https://www.mylifetutors.com/) to address the critical need for support services tailored to neurodivergent students managing higher education.

Julie’s career has been centred on education system equality, and she has worked in the teaching profession, as well as in curriculum development, and was even involved in establishing a Performing Arts Charter School. This is because she not only participates in advocacy in the classroom but also as a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and an Associate Jewel of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Through her work, Julie has become a respected voice in the community, championing the acceptance of neurodiversity and fostering pathways to success for all learners.

From her experience as a teacher and mother, the author has felt the need to develop tools to help people with neurological differences succeed in life, at school, and in their careers.
